Hi,

The original site is at https://www.progreso.hr/. I have not updated it yet.

The testing copy is at: http://progreso.kreditni-kalkulator.hr/. I have transferred temporarily the license here to get the update for testing purposes.

(1.)

Cornerstone is not loading on some pages, and keeps spinning on others. At the same time, some pages are working well and the work can be saved.

Won’t load example:
http://progreso.kreditni-kalkulator.hr/ (Homepage). It gets the ?cornerstone=1, but no CS.

Keeps spinning example:
http://progreso.kreditni-kalkulator.hr/o-progresu/zaposlenici/nikolina-erbeznik/

Also, my IP got blocked by my hosting while I have tried tho save some changes. (They are investigating now. If there is some new rule that has to be excluded, I’ll post it here).

I have also:

– Tried to manually install X and CS
– Resaved permalinks
– Optimized the database
– Did the plugin conflict test
– Saved changes in customizer
– tried to first republish the affected pages
– no active caching plugin

The problem with Cornerstone remains.

Second problem with Cornerstone:

CS loads normally for newly created pages. I have tried to edit one, and when I minimize the CS sidebar, the blue highlights and colored overlays are still visible while hovering over the elements. In the prior version they were not there while the sidebar was minimized.

Font appearance has changed. Maybe someone can find this list useful in tracking down why their website looks different now:

So far, I had to fix this in order to get the appearance back:

– Navbar font size went from 12 to 13.
– Navbar font weight went from 400 to 700.
– Navbar top logo alignment was -7. Now 1 gives the same result.
– Letter spacing changed for all heading levels. They are wider than before.
– My font changed from Open-sans to Lato. I had to change it back.
– Headings weight changed from 400 to 700.

That’s it. I haven’t found a solution to get the Cornerstone working. If we wait for an update, I’ll wait. If there is a possibility to fix it, I’ll be happy to hear it. 🙂

Yes, I just confirmed your issue but not sure yet what causes it. But could be caching or connectivity, we’ll keep on check and provide some recommendation if we find some solution.

Hi!

In your video, it looks to me that you have created a new page. I can create a new page and edit it without issues.

The problem is when I try to edit the homepage in Cornerstone. http://progreso.kreditni-kalkulator.hr/. It loads and gets the ?cornerstone=1 in the link., but there is no Cornerstone sidebar.

On the other hand, the page http://progreso.kreditni-kalkulator.hr/o-progresu/zaposlenici/nikolina-erbeznik/ never loads. Cornerstone logo keeps spinning.

Hi Misho,

For the homepage Cornerstone issue, this looks strange. Can you try testing for a plugin conflict. You can do this by deactivating all third party plugins, and seeing if the problem remains. If it’s fixed, you’ll know a plugin caused the problem, and you can narrow down which one by reactivating them one at a time.

As for the sub page, I can edit that on Cornerstone without any issues (see: http://prntscr.com/9a8kk2). Would you mind confirming again?

as I said in my first post here, I did the plugin conflict test, along with a bunch of other things listed up there. 🙂

Interesting, the sub-page loaded once. When I tried it again, it stopped. Then I have tried other sub-pages in the same section. They all load the first time, and then the second time the browser is showing that the page has been loaded, but the CS logo keeps spinning.

Then I go away for a while and come back, and then again I can edit those pages once, but subsequent edits are not loading Cornerstone.

Even my latest test-page, http://progreso.kreditni-kalkulator.hr/essential-grid-test/, needs to be reloaded several times until it loads. Except when loaded first time per session.

Still no luck with the homepage.

I see, it’s random. Could it be related to caching or the requests from browser to your site is not properly reaching it?

We’re currently working on another update, but I can’t tell if it will fix your issue if it’s more related to your site connectivity. But at least we can narrow our troubleshooting when the update comes.

There are cases that loading is fixed when they switched page templates, could you try that too? Unfortunately, I can’t provide concrete solution for now, but I’m still investigating it and will surely let you know.

In that case, I,ll try to wake up in the middle of the night and try to update the live site. Maybe it will work there.

I will download X and CS via FTP and do the automatic update. If it is not working, I will put the old X and CS back. Are there some other moving parts that I should be aware of? Will this update approach work? (I’ll also download the backup of the DB, just in case).

Please make sure that you are up to date. At around 6:30pm Central US (December 4, 2015), we have release Cornerstone 1.0.10. It is is available now in your dashboard! See this thread for up to date information and our latest Changelog.

Hi,

it looks like after update to 1.0.10. the inner pages are now loading every time, and they load way faster.

The homepage is still not getting Cornerstone.

I had one Homepage template saved so I have loaded it into the “Cornerstone test” page that you have created.
The homepage layout loads normally in Cornerstone.

But then I went to WordPress settings and made that page a new Homepage. As soon as I did that, the Cornerstone stopped loading.

– One more thing i have tried is to repair tables in PhpMyAdmin. No luck.

I will try to update the live site today, as it looks like the CS 1.0.10. is stable, and report back, to see how things are going there. It is the same hosting (Best in Croatia), but different hosting package.

Hello There,

Please let us know how it goes then. Keep in mind that if you have installed a caching plugin like WP Super Cache, please clear your plugin cache first before testing your site. This can cause the changes to not take place on the front end. It will eventually show up when the cache regenerates, but it’s not ideal if you’re looking to see your changes immediately.

Hi guys!

I have updated the live site, https://www.progreso.hr/. Homepage and other pages are updating as they should. I have reloaded Cornerstone more than 10 times on the homepage. It is working.

There was a brief message one time, in upper right corner about “Large unexpected preview”, but it went away and never came back.

Staging version still has the problem, but it is not that important.
