Cre8iv1ParticipantHello –
I just wanted to inform you of a frustration I am having with the X Theme Add-on, ConvertPlug.
When using a blank template, they override all of the Theme’s CSS with their own. When messaging them for support about the issue, they said that I just need to add my own CSS to the popup. In my opinion this is a bad practice, as essentially the page would be loading duplicate CSS code. I’ve already assigned styles for all my header tags, paragraph tabs, links, etc., should I really have to duplicate all the CSS code in each individual popup?
Also when I enter code like, <p><i class=”fa fa-phone”></i></p> in the source code editor of the plugin, click okay and get taken back to the WYSIWYG editor, then go back to the source code it has been changed to <p></p>.
I’ve submitted this issue through the https://convertplugonx.freshdesk.com site as well, but wanted to know if you have any suggestions to work around these issues with the Add-on.
Thank you for your help.

NicoModeratorHi There,
Thanks for writing in.
Would you mind sharing us your admin credentials so we could check your setup first and we could see what would be the best workaround for this.
Don’t forget to set it as private reply.
Thanks.

Cre8iv1ParticipantSorry about that. You now have Admin rights.
You can see the issue with the CSS being overwritten for tags on the Mike Bates – Leadership Biography. It converts the text to have the tag properties on the front end (you can see it at http://www.hotwax.co/company/about and then clicking on the “View Bio” button for Mike Bates).
My solution for now is to just put everything in Divs and then create special classes that will add the styling I want. But this method seems like bad practice. Below is the response I received from the plugin creator:
1) Themes CSS –
-> The only way to apply your themes CSS to modal is to overwrite the modal CSS .
————
2) WYSIWYG overwriting code
-> In ConvertPlug Editor replaces the HTML tags in to html specific entities. Currently there is no way to stop this conversion.
————
3) Blank template have only one editor
-> You can write as many as text block in blank template also by entering ‘enter key’. Blank template is specially created for fully customisation so that user can create popup as per their wish.

RadModeratorHi there,
What CSS is being overridden? Yes, Blank is useful when creating your own popup content with your own preferred styling. Other CSS will still be loaded like popup CSS and so on. I’m not really sure what’s the issue but visual guide will be helpful, please provide a video recording or screenshot.
Thanks!

RadModeratorHi there,
I see, thanks for the clarification. I think it’s normal since it’s a raw element, and raw element usually inherits its parent element’s styling. And this time, it’s from ConvertPlug. You could use X’s classes if you wish to override it. Examples,
<h5 class="h5">MIKE BATES</h5><h5 class="h5 h-custom-headline">MIKE BATES</h5><h5 class="h5 h-custom-headline center-text accent">MIKE BATES</h5>Thanks!
