Hi guys, I’m up to 6 X theme licences now 😉
Ok…I got a big problem that preferably needs resolved today.
I have a website page I have created with a ConvertPlug inline InfoBar.
You can see here:http://paul-irvine.com/wpchick
The form is set to request First Name, Last Name and Email address.
I have setup the fields awf_first and awf_last to pass to Aweber via the API.It then redirects the successful visitor to
http://paul-irvine.com/wpchicksuccessEvery time I try to test it I get “Something went wrong please try again”
I tried disabling the redirect, still the same problem. Please see attached screenshot of how I have it setup
Please also see screenshot of the matching fields in AweberI will include my login info in the next post so you are able to assist me.
Thanks,
Paul.May 5, 2016 at 11:03 am #914473This reply has been marked as private.May 5, 2016 at 9:30 pm #978052Hi there,
Thanks for posting in.
I can’t find what causes this unless I can compare your setup. Would you mind providing your Aweber login credentials in private reply? You can change it when done testing.
Thanks!

Seems to be okay, and I’m not getting any issue. Would you mind providing a screen recording showing all of these? Is it really an inline info bar? Or is i modal?
Thanks!

You could try testing for a plugin conflict. You can do this by deactivating all third party plugins, and seeing if the problem remains. If it’s fixed, you’ll know a plugin caused the problem, and you can narrow down which one by reactivating them one at a time.
Please let us know how it goes.
May 7, 2016 at 8:09 am #980112Deactivated all plugins except Cornerstone and Convertplug, same issue.
Again, the opt in works perfectly fine on other pages,
(examples http://paul-irvine.com/wordpress-security/secure-your-wordpress-administrator-login-quickly-and-easily
http://paul-irvine.com/security/nathalie-lussier-just-nailed-website-security-for-start-ups)I’m sure it’s mismatching field names or something along those lines causing it to fail.
Out of ideas 🙁
Please advise.Thanks,
P.May 7, 2016 at 9:04 pm #980597Hi there,
I think those fields are automatically created based on your listing. I created another raw info box and it works okay. ConvertPlug automatically encode the data required for that listing. If your listing expects a name, then that’s only when you need a name on the form.
Do your aweber listing form has name? Would you mind letting me know which listing is it?
Thanks!

Upon checking, it is working now. I can see the 3 emails on the list already from my testing. See attached screenshots. It is now redirecting to the correct page after submit.
Although it is a little weird because on the first test, the error Something went wrong is still there. Then I visit your Aweber account and I can’t see any error on the setup. Then when I check again it is working already. To make sure, I did 2 other test and it is really working now.Hope this helps.
May 10, 2016 at 5:24 am #983815Hi Lely, thanks for getting back to me.
The opt in form on the page is not the one I setup on the page originally, assuming someone in support changed it.
I had a form asking for First Name / Last Name / Email Address so I could auto register new signups onto a webinar with GotoWebinar. (run through Zapier).
If this form is working and the original one isn’t then the problem remains I’m afraid.
Paul.

In this case, some feedback from ConvertPlug support might be helpful. You can submit a ticket to them directly at https://convertplugonx.freshdesk.com/support/home
Thanks.
