    Hi there!

I don’t understand what’s going on here…when I ran tests on the contact forms on the side bar and the main contact page, I’m not getting any errors. But the receiving email is not coming through (not even to spam!). I’m using the latest X (4.0.3) and Contact Form 7 (4.2.1). Any help anyone can give is VERY MUCH APPRECIATED!

    Hi There,

This is already submitted as a bug to our developer. For those who are having issues with Contact Form 7 latest release v4.2, could you please try downloading the earlier version (v4.1.2) from the following link (https://wordpress.org/plugins/contact-form-7/developers/) and downgrade your plugin.
Our development team will look into this issue and update a release if there’s a possible incompatibility issue.

    Thank you for your understanding.

I just downgraded to Contact form 7 4.1.2 and even down to 4.1 but the problem is still there. I even switched email addresses and I’m still not receiving any emails.

    Hi there,

I’m sorry, but the login credentials that you have provided are incorrect. Please provide us with the correct information, so that we can look into your issue.

The contact form issue could be hosting related. Please check the following if your hosting does not support wp_mail and the standard PHP mail() function.

If your hosting provider does not support wp_mail and the standard PHP mail() function, you can try to configure email sending from WordPress using SMTP (another type of mail service).

WordPress supports SMTP mail but this needs to be configured separately via the admin area of WordPress.

The following plugins can be used to setup SMTP on your WordPress site:
    http://wordpress.org/plugins/configure-smtp/
    http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/wp-mail-smtp/

WP Mail SMTP reconfigures the wp_mail() function to use SMTP instead of mail() and creates an options page that allows you to specify various options. You may need to contact your hosting provider to get detailed information on the option settings required.

Let us know how it goes.
