I have spent hours reviewing the knowledge base (including this page: https://community.theme.co/kb/integrated-plugins-revolution-slider/) and the forum trying to get clarity about updates for Rev Slider that are supposed to happen when updating X Theme and I am still confused. It’s been my understanding that the Rev slider version that is included with the X update should get installed. But, also, I have had the impression that when in the Plugins page of my site, I was Not supposed to do the update when it shows there is a new version on the plugins page.

Can you explain to me exactly what it is I should do when confronted with the Rev slider plugin notifying there is a new update on the Plugins page if, after an X updating, I still have an older version of Rev installed?

Hi there,

Thanks for writing in! Even though the 3rd party extensions may have newer releases on their end, we only provide certain updates to minimize incompatibility issues with X theme. The best thing is to check with our changelog (https://theme.co/changelog/) when you want to update something.

Currently we support Revolution Slider v5.2.4.1 and you can update your other plugins as well accordingly by referring to the changelog.
