Hi!
I’ve run into a technical glitch that I can’t seem to find an answer to.
I just got a comment on one of my posts. I approved it and replied, but neither the comment or the reply are showing on the post page.
Anything I can check or try?
Thanks!

Thanks for writing in! Since you are using CloudFlare, please login to your cloudflare acccount and clear your site cache before testing your site. This can cause the changes to not take place on the front end. It will eventually show up when the cache regenerates, but it’s not ideal if you’re looking to see your changes immediately.
Please let us know how it goes.
March 24, 2016 at 3:55 am #850793Hi,
Thanks for your quick reply!
I purged the cloudflare cache, but that didn’t work. Also tried a different browser that wouldn’t have cached the page, but that doesn’t work either. Do the comments show up for you?
Is there anything else I can try?
Thanks!

Can you try testing for a plugin conflict. You can do this by deactivating all third party plugins, and seeing if the problem remains. If it’s fixed, you’ll know a plugin caused the problem, and you can narrow down which one by reactivating them one at a time.
March 24, 2016 at 7:20 am #850968Thanks! I created a staging environment to try this and I think I’ve narrowed down the problem.
I’m using a plugin to choose which X-theme page template I want to use. I’ve selected “Blank – No Container, header, footer”, but that template doesn’t seem to add the actual comments. Just the box where you can leave a comment.
Does that make sense? Anything I can try next?
March 24, 2016 at 7:51 am #850998Hi,
I was able to fix it by creating template-blank-4.php (lank – No Container, header) file in wp-content/themes/x-child/framework/views/integrity and adding the comment template in it.
Kindly check on your end
Thanks
March 24, 2016 at 8:35 am #851039Thanks for that fix, works like a charm! I tweaked the CSS a little bit and it now fits the design of the page perfectly!
I now know what the problem was exactly. I added this to the bottom of the page [x_comment_embed], but that didn’t output any comments. Just the form. Is that a known issue? Because the problem persisted even as I’d disabled all third party plugins.
Thanks again!
