    Hey Charlie,

Automatic systems that defer and minify scripts will surely make a website fast but, it won’t work well with feature rich themes like X because some scripts need to load in the proper place. The option you have for now is to disable fade effect, responsive text, and other features that doesn’t work with Rocket Loader.

It works on Ethos most probably because scripts in Ethos can be moved at the bottom or after the page loads without complications. RL makes all the scripts load after the page loads so scripts like fade effect and similar functions which should not be moved gets transferred so they won’t work.

Optimizing this is a tricky setup. Rest assured that our development team is constantly improving the X and Cornerstone system for performance. I’ll forward this as feature request.

    Thanks.

Yeah, it worked for Ethos until.. now 🙁 Something changed in the 4.1.1 October update so we also have to turn off Rocket Loader by now

Oh, it’s OK. I just wanted to give an update on that the CloudFlare + Rocket Loader + Ethos theme isn’t working either as of now.

    Hi there,

Thank you for the update! There might be some adjustments in the theme that could have caused RL to not work properly with Ethos too. However, as RL is not really supported, at this time, disabling it would be a better option. I’ll however forward it to our developers for further investigation.

    Cheers!
