    Hi! I have been looking high and low for almost 6 hours and I still can’t find where I can choose a different/personal home (start) page?

    Sorry, found it… But since I use a Dutch version of wordpress, the names were not logic.
    You can change the start page under “Settings” > “Read” (if my translation is correct).

    Settings -> Readings -> Set Static Front Page
