I am trying to change from my current expanded theme (agency) to another theme without compromising my website http://www.sgwdesignworks.com/home/. Is there a specific process I need to follow to transfer my content to another theme?

Hello There,

You can change stack any time you need. But it will change the styling of footer, header, sidebar and other small details like box-shadow, text-shadow, borders etc. What i would recommend is to change stack and make necessary changes in a test environment and then migrate website into production server.

Thank you for your quick response. Even though your recommendation sounds easy. I wanted to confirm that I am interpreting it correctly. What exactly do you mean by making changes in a test environment and then migrate the website to a production server? I should include that my level of expertise with word press is minimal.

Can you a bit more specific at to what steps to make?

Let´s try a different work around.

To guarantee 100% you wont lose anything and in case you change your mind you can restore your settings please do the follow:

Go to WP Admin Dashboard > Addons > Export your Customizer Settings.

Go to your home page > Acess Cornerstone > Templates > Save templates > NAME YOUR TEMPLATE AT THE TOP > Save as Page > Save to Library ->

You can than a free install your DEMO On Addons Tab.

If you regret you can restore your Customizer Settings.
