    Hi,

    Quick question (apologies if it is a stupid one)… if I change the DB table prefixes will this affect the site’s ability to update to the latest version of X and relevant plugins?

    I’ve installed All In One WP Security & Firewall and it is recommending I change the prefixes and it can handle it for me but I just want to make sure it doesn’t affect theme or WordPress updates.

    Hi Adam,

    No, it should not affect during site upgrades as long as the site configuration is correct, that is the settings in wp-config.php matches the database info.
