    Hi,

The changes I make in Cornerstone are not being updated on the live website itself.

Here is what I have already done to try to fix it:

    – Cleared cache/history for browser (Safari)
    – Tried opening in a new browser (Firefox) (made sure to clear cache/history before opening)
    – Disabled browser & page cache through Bluehost
    – Deactivated all third party plugins to see if one was interfering with the updates – no changes were made, it was still loading the old images/deleted sections (just now not formatted properly without the plugins obviously)

If I click “View Page” it will show me the same outdated page. However if I click “Preview changes” – it shows me the page as it should be and as I see it in Cornerstone.

    Any suggestions here?

    Thank you!

    Hi There,

Thanks for writing in! Currently you have PHP version 5.2. please update your PHP to version 5.6 as per WordPress Requirements.

Please contact your hosting support to assist you with this.

Let us know how it goes.

    Cheers!

    Hi!

Thanks for noticing that! I updated to 5.6 and still having the same issue? (they had 3 options – standard, single, and fastCGI – they recommended using single php.ini, but please let me know if you recommend going with a different one)

Still struggling with the same issue though…

I can see the correct updates when I hit “preview changes” (so I hit “update” on the WP edit page – or “save” on the cornerstone editing) and nothing changes when I view the live page. Even tried different browsers & clearing cache again just in case)

    Any other suggestions?

    Thanks for your help!

    Hi there,

You can go to either standard or FastCGI.

Do your hosting has some sort of database or object caching? It’s not just happening in cornerstone but also on other plugins. Example, I disabled Ubermenu’s google map API ( since cornerstone has its own google map implementation, it has to be disabled in Ubermenu to avoid conflicts ) and it doesn’t take effect instantly, had to wait.

Would you mind providing your FTP password, and please disable your firewall (if active). I can’t connect to your provided FTP.

    Thanks.

    Hello There,

Thanks for updating in! Since you are using BlueHost, please turn off the Endurance Page cache. Simply login to your WordPress dashboard and go to BlueHost > Performance. temporarily disable the caching and test your site again.

Hope this helps. Please let us know how it goes.

    Hi!

Unfortunately I had already played with those settings to see if I could get it to work – and no luck.

    Still same issue…

    Hello There,

I did some further investigation. I edited your about page and the mission page. I added an empty section. You can see it here: http://prntscr.com/e7kwv0. When I check the live view of the page, the section is displaying as shown here: http://prntscr.com/e7kx1z

Could you please tell us which of the page you are trying to edit?

    Thank you in advance.

    Hi!

It is just the home page now that won’t update.

I’ve included a screenshot of what it appears as live as well as what it should look like (which is what you’ll find if you click to edit the page).

Not sure why only one page won’t update??

    Thanks!

    Hello There,

Thanks for sending the screenshot. I have edited your homepage and added a simple text.

Please check it in my screenshots:

    http://prntscr.com/e7ofk2

It is clearly that the changes were saved by Cornerstone. Please check again.

    Hi,

That’s great, but then can you tell me why the frontend/live website is still displaying sections that were long ago deleted and are not in the script? It’s clear that’s it’s saving those changes (since any time I go to edit my page it will show me what should be there), but it’s not displaying those changes on the live website (which you wouldn’t be able to see with a hidden element) – which has been the issue the whole time.

    Thanks!

This looks like a caching issue. Please contact your host to learn how to completely clear all caches then check if the issuer persists.

    Thanks.
