Hi,
When I post the website in Facebook it shows ‘Hello World, welcome to wordpress’ I don’t know how to change this. I saw in other posts you refer to the frontpage settings, but there I don’t find the option to write a description, only to change the image, but also the image is not shown in Facebook.
I’m using a onepage navigation and think the link is now referring to blogs, but we don’t have any.Looking forward to your reply! Thank you!
I will put the info in the next post.

Thanks for writing in! Please install and configure a plugin like WordPress SEO by Yoast (https://wordpress.org/plugins/wordpress-seo/) to mange your site’s meta tags.
Hope that helps.

Thank you!
January 1, 2016 at 1:50 pm #727756Hi Maya,
1. Enable your Open Graph data at Admin > SEO > Social > Facebook. Just check Add Open Graph meta data.
2. Edit your page or post, then go to Yoast SEO section and edit your snippet.
3. More importantly, clear your caches and disable all your caching plugin. Please don’t use any optimization plugin if you’re still on development stage. It’s only recommended on production/finished site.
4. Use this tool https://developers.facebook.com/tools/debug/ to debug your site’s URL ( it’s the URL of the page you’re sharing ). Then fetch new information to clear up the caches when you’re sharing your page.
Thanks.
