Hi

I changed the url for the site where my x-theme was installed. However now when I am trying to update the Visual Composer plugin on my new url I get an error message saying that it is already installed at the old url.
Under licencing tab it says “Please activate your license in Product License tab!”
When trying to deactivate I get the errormessage:
“Failed to deactivate Visual Composer. License is activated on another domain: http://www.mysiteexample. com”

Thanks for writing in.

You could try updating your VC setup manually using FTP. Don’t forget to update VC with the compatible version to X theme. The version is Visual Composer v4.9.2.

To update manually using FTP,

1. Download the theme and extract it in your computer, then navigate to x/framework/plugins
2. Extract js_composer.zip in your computer
3. Login to ftp using filezilla – https://filezilla-project.org/download.php?type=client
4. Navigate to your extracted cornerstone file in local site and navigate to wp-content/themes/x/framework/plugins in remote site
5. Upload the unzip js_composer folder to wp-content/plugins in your remote site
6. Activate the plugin in your plugins page.
