    I would like to lighten up my plain (non link text) in my footer – as pictured

    Hi There,

    Try adding the following CSS under Customizer > Custom > CSS:

    .x-colophon ul.vcard li,
.x-colophon .textwidget {
    color: #cccccc;
}
