We use three categories on our site: Events, Blog, and Sermons. When you go to the sermons archive and click on a sermon (navigating to the sermon post) the title on the page says, “Blog” instead of “Sermons.” I couldn’t figure out why, until I saw the navigation on the right-hand side of the header. I clicked on blog and it goes to a category archive page that has sermons, events, and blog posts. URL is below.

The problem is, I can’t find a category that has the slug, “the-blog.” Our active blog has a slug of “blog-posts.” I also checked on the each of the sermon posts and they all have “sermons” checked as their category and nothing else.

Why do sermon category posts say “Blog” instead of “Sermons” and why do I have a category archive page that doesn’t match any of our categories? Your help is appreciated.

    Hi,

This url http://beta.emmausroadfc.org/the-blog/ is a page that was set as your blog page and not an archive page.

With regards to your blog title, this is intentional and default behavior. We have set all single post page to have the Blog title instead of category due to the fact that a post can be set under multiple categories.

    Thanks
