    Hi,
    the breadcrumbs of the single portfolio item page of the website I’m working on have this structure:
    home › › portfolio item name

    This is the structure they should have:
    home › portfolio home › category name › portfolio item name

    I tried the solutions I found on several posts here but none of them solved the problem.

    Can you please help?

    Hi there,

    Thanks for the URL. You need to set the “Portfolio Parent” from “Portfolio Items Settings” – http://prntscr.com/djfcan

    If you still face this, you can add this under Custom > JavaScript in the Customizer.

    Hi!

    I had the same problem. “Home > > Portfolio item”.
    I have added the proposed code to Custom > JavaScript in the Customizer. That added in the text, but it is not linking to the portfolio parent. It has the same url like the portfolio item, which make the breadcrumb not usable.

    Is it possible to have the Portfolio breadcrumb structure “Home > Portfolio Index > Portfolio item”, but the “Portfolio Index” to link to the actual index? Or even better, to set a custom url, because I might want a different index page than the native one.

    I have exactly the same question: Is it possible to have the Portfolio breadcrumb other than standard “Home > Portfolio categorie > Portfolio item”, but the “Portfolio categorie” to link to a custom url, because I don’t want it to go to a standard portfolio index page?

    Can you point us to your portfolio index page? By default, breadcrumb should be Home Icon > Portfolio index page > Single portfolio title like this:http://demo.theme.co/renew-1/portfolio-item/drum/. Your portfolio index page should use Layout Portfolio template page. I did check random pages from your site and I can’t find the portfolio index page.

    Hi there,

    There is no need for code, just edit the portfolio item and assign the Portfolio Parent under Portfolio item Settings section.

    If there is no parent assigned then it will use the default parent (the first and single parent).

    I checked and I don’t see any portfolio parent on that site. Please note that a portfolio parent can’t be a child of another page. Else, it will not work.

    What i meant, is that the portfolio item page has this breadcrumb to the (parent) portfolio index page. But i want to make it link to a custom page, where i set the posts (as an alternative index page).
    Now, I let WP redirect the portfolio index page to another page that i made for this purpose, with a redirect plugin.
