Hi there, after solving some font issues on the homepage it suddenly isn’t possible to edit with Visual composer anymore. I don’t know if both issues are related but hope you can help.
Neither frontend editor nor backend editor works. At frontend I get a screen full of depreciated elements.Hope you have a quick solution since know I only can make changes in Classic mode.

Please disable all third party scripts and plugins first while we investigate.
Thanks.
October 26, 2015 at 2:30 am #639576Do you mean plugins? Those are the only third party elements.
I’ve got to go to work know. So won’t be standby untill tonight.October 26, 2015 at 2:44 am #639582Hi there,
I think the issue is that the text doesn’t display in visual tab of editor, am I right?
I switched to text editor and it started to work fine, please see the attachment. To find out what is causing the issue please try testing for a plugin conflict. You can do this by deactivating all third party plugins, and seeing if the problem remains. If it’s fixed, you’ll know a plugin caused the problem, and you can narrow down which one by reactivating them one at a time.
In regards with front end editor, please check this thread : https://community.theme.co/forums/topic/frontendeditor/#post-249083
Hope it helps.
October 26, 2015 at 3:38 pm #640498Hi,
Sorry, that was not the issue. Opening the site yesterday I noticed headings fonts changed on the home page and on an event page. I managed to change them back to the font Alegreya. And did that by deleting whitespace around these headings in the classic mode.
After that the header font displayed allright but I could not use Visual Composer anymore. In the Backend I can’t select the green and orange symbols, like for instance the pencil.Today I learned that my client, who can edit the site, did copy paste some text directly from her facebook page. Is it possible that at that point some strange settings where added to the site?
I tried your suggestion and deactivated third party plugins. No effect.
Hope you can help me.
Thanks,
Debora
October 26, 2015 at 7:15 pm #640722Hello Debora,
I tried logging in and opened your homepage using Visual Composer. I am able to edit the elements. See video screencast:http://screencast-o-matic.com/watch/co6tcXhiXl. Although, I didn’t save the changes I made, I am able to open elements and edit Content. Can you clarify the issue you’re having so we can help you better? Thank you
October 27, 2015 at 2:44 am #641107hi,
Thanks. There seems to be some browser related issue since I can edit in Safari. The browser I normally use is Google chrome. Any idea wich setting might cause the hickup?
Thanks,
Debora
October 27, 2015 at 3:34 am #641158Hi Debora,
I am a different support and I tried editing your homepage using chrome. It seems to be working fine on my end too.
May I know what version of google chrome are you using and what extensions have you installed.
Can you try Google chrome incognito mode(ctrl+shift+n)
Thanks
October 27, 2015 at 5:23 am #641254Hi,
The version is 46.0.2490.80 (64-bit).
The Incognito mode works! Now the buttons are active again. Even in the Frontend editor!
Can you please explain to me what this means? Thanks,
Debora
October 27, 2015 at 6:14 am #641320Hi Debora,
Incognito means browsing in private. While you are incognito won’t be logged in your browsing and download histories; all new cookies are deleted after you close the incognito window.
You might need to clear your browser cache.
1. In the top-right corner of Chrome, click the Chrome menu Chrome Menu.
2. Select More tools > Clear browsing data.
3. In the dialog that appears, select cached image and files.
3. Use the menu at the top to select the amount of data that you want to delete. Select beginning of time to delete everything.
5. Click Clear browsing data.Hope that helps.
October 27, 2015 at 1:47 pm #641981Everything is ok again.
Your support has been wonderful. Thanks ever so much!
