When I go to manually add a user to my website form the admin panel, the “Show Password” button appears, but does not do anything. If I enter the required user name and email, then click submit, it returns “ERROR: Please enter password”.(Which I can’t because the password button isn’t working and apparently it isn’t auto-generating a password).
Switching from X-Theme to default 2015 theme, everything works as it should and I can add new users.
Deactivating all plugins has no affect on the issue. Can you please help? http://nacbi.org
November 11, 2015 at 11:36 am #661317Hi There,
In this case, would you mind providing us with login credentials so we can take a closer look? To do this, you can make a post with the following info:
– Link login to your site
– WordPress Admin username / PasswordDon’t forget to select Set as a private reply. This ensures your information is only visible to our staff.
Thanks.

I have just tried to add a user from the backend and it seems to be working correctly. Can you confirm this issue again please? Please note that I have deleted the text user I created.
November 11, 2015 at 3:08 pm #661582Hi,
It is working now. If you did anything, it fixed it. If you didn’t do anything, then this is the strangest occurrence I have yet to encounter! I’ve been chasing this issue down for the last 2 days!
November 11, 2015 at 3:11 pm #661584My bad… I forgot to switch back to X-theme for you.
Try it again. The “add user” is not working.
November 11, 2015 at 7:16 pm #661832Hello There,
I am able to add user test. For your reference I did not delete the user I created. Kindly check.
November 11, 2015 at 7:37 pm #661852Yes the test user is there now. But I am still not able to add a user from my end.
Could it be java script errors on my end?November 11, 2015 at 10:01 pm #662002Hi there,
Thanks for updating. Note that it’s a WordPress feature and it’s not controlled by any theme so it’s actually not related to X. Moreover we can create user so it’s working as expected.
You can try from a different browser or different PC.
Cheers!
November 12, 2015 at 5:16 am #662335Hmmm…. This is very odd.
I can add a user in the default WP theme, but not when using X-theme. The issue is across the board for me in multiple browsers. Deactivating all plugins, extensions, and addons has no effect. The only thing that works for me is reverting to a WP default theme.November 12, 2015 at 6:10 am #662376Hi,
I am a different support staff and it worked on my end as well.

Can you record a video showing the issue.
Thanks

No worries. You can try clearing the cache of the browser or perhaps using another browser as it may be a browser related issue.
November 12, 2015 at 2:51 pm #663027FYI…
I believe I found a fix (at least it’s working for now).
Appears other WP users have had similar issues with certain buttons that stop working for various reasons (often after an update). It’s often narrowed down to the javascript.
Disabling the javascript concentration with the code ” define(‘CONCATENATE_SCRIPTS’, false ); ” placed in the the wp-config php file has worked for me on this machine.Thought I would post a follow-up in case someone else experiences any similar (and very odd) issues.
Thanks again for your assistance!
