My site at crowleyscholarship.com is not accepting new images to be uploaded. When I upload a new image it shows up as “broken” (with the broken image icon). I even tried uploading images that are already in the library, to see if it was an issue with the image itself, but they too come up as “broken,”; so the issue is not with the image itself. I thought maybe it might just be the menu or the viewer in the backend, so I also tried inserting the “broken” image onto the site, but it shows up on the site as broken as well. I have not added any new plugins, in fact I deactivated a number of ones I wasn’t using in case that was it, but no change. The only change seems to be that X updated itself. I just added a caching plugin so I could clear the site’s cache too, to see if that would fix it, and it did not fix the issue.

    Hi there,

Please go to Settings > Media > Store uploads in this folder and leave the field empty so that the images will be stored in the default uploads directory.

    Hope this helps.

OK…that worked. I built the site at a staging domain, so perhaps when I moved it over to the final domain this was causing the error. There was a path listed in that field that I just deleted and now it works. Thanks.
