    all file permissions are set to 664 all folders to 775.

    my other sites have had this issue and then it’ll update. I dont have this issue at all with plugins or anything else, so i’m pretty sure it is not a permissions issue.

    Are you having issues with amazon?

    i’ve had similar issues on other servers, but they eventually fixed themselves and allowed me to update.

    The error i get is:

    An error occurred while updating X: The update cannot be installed because we will be unable to copy some files. This is usually due to inconsistent file permissions…….

    the site is set up with a child theme correctly as i’ve done 5 times before. Hopefully you can help.

    i was looking at the wrong server… huge facepalm!!
