Michael TchongParticipantHi, I have development site at trendshow.com for my main development site ubercool.com. When I enter the API key of this site into the API registration of Trendshow.com, it says:
We’ve checked the code, but it doesn’t appear to be an Cornerstone purchase code or Themeco license. Please double check the code and try again.
In my manage licenses profile it shows that this site is the development site under the primary API key I enter. What am I doing wrong?

DarshanaModeratorHi there,
Thanks for writing in! Could you please try removing those URLs from the manage license section and try adding them again. Also revoke your current license from the site and try to re-validate them. Make sure to disable any caching plugins and purge all the cache during the process.
Let us know how it goes.
Thanks!April 18, 2016 at 7:14 pm #889098
Michael TchongParticipantDid as you suggested:
1. Removed Ubercool.com key from Manage Licences control panel.
2. Removed development site from Manage Licences control panel.
3. Revoked validation at Ubercool.com.
4. Added everything back in.Didn’t work. Any other suggestions?

ChristianModeratorHey Michael,
Please try to revoke and re-validate through Addons. Play https://cloudup.com/ci5Bde6dK-c in Firefox.
Thanks.

Michael TchongParticipantAs I mentioned before, I have already tried that, but I tried it again. When I revoke the site as your video suggests and enter Trendshow.com in the manage licenses control panel and then enter the code at Trendshow.com, there seems to be a problem with the code itself because it shows the same message as before:
We’ve checked the code, but it doesn’t appear to be an Cornerstone purchase code or Themeco license. Please double check the code and try again.
Keep in mind, this is not treating this site as a development site, but as a primary site. I have used both Safari and Chrome to see if that could be the issue.
You really have to solve this problem, this is a major irritant. I gave you access to the site above, what happened?

Michael TchongParticipantI reduced the screenshot file size.

Rue NelModeratorHello There,
Thanks for providing the screenshot. Please be advised that X license cannot be used to validate Cornerstone. You need to purchase a separate Cornerstone license if you want to validate Cornerstone. Meanwhile, if you are using X theme and already validated it, Cornerstone will automatically gets validated as well.
Hope this helps.

Michael TchongParticipantWhat a joke this thread is. Nobody is reading any of my previous posts, and the last two support people have completely missed the point.

RupokMemberHi there,
Sorry for the confusion but I think you didn’t get that properly. Let me clarify a bit.
If you notice the last reply by Rue Nel, he said “X license cannot be used to validate Cornerstone.”.
I can’t see any Cornerstone license on your account. So I assume you are trying to validate the Cornerstone with your X license that you are not supposed to. You have purchased X and got Cornerstone bundled with that. So you need to validate X through X Addons menu and Cornerstone will be validated automatically.
If you are not using X (I can’t see X active), you won’t be able to validate the Cornerstone as it’s packaged and you didn’t purchase this separately.
So, let’s activate X and validate X through X Addons menu. You will get Cornerstone validated automatically.
Hope this makes sense.
Cheers!
