BroadlinkParticipantHello, i am newbie in wordpress. Bought X theme and want to create web site of my brand where should be changing language option (button). I read some advice about creating multi-site wordpress, but i cant understand how to manage it. I want to have mydomain.com as home page and another pages should be mydomain.com/en/link1 and mydomain.com/de/link1 where seconds are pages with translations and depends on which language customer choose. So should i install wordpress into root folder, after activate multi-site option and create 2 new sites and on each activate x-child theme? or no? =)
Thank you!

BroadlinkParticipantOr translate can be done with one site (without multisite and sub folders)? So i can create site, than add x-child theme, make a full site on one language after that complete translation with PoEdit? If it is possible, could i create button that will allow users to choose which language should be displayed? Thanks.

DarshanaModeratorHi there,
Thanks for writing in! If you don’t have any experience, the best option would be to setup two separate/identical WordPress sites on sub-folders in the root of your server (example.com/en & example.com/de).
We also have a translation guide here (https://community.theme.co/kb/translation/).
Otherwise you can use a plugin like WPML to run a site with different languages.
Hope that helps.
