    Hi,
    I built a site for a client about 3 years ago and didn’t update anything.
    My WP version is: 4.2.12 and X 4.0.4
    I have some plugins running under Visual Composer 4.5, and I guess Cornerstone has been automatically updated but I don’t know the version of it.

    I’ve just made a full backup of the site.
    My question is: what’s your advice to get a successfull update from all the elements and in which order please?

    Thanks for writing in!

    Please backup your site and follow this link https://community.theme.co/kb/updating-your-theme-and-plugins to update theme and plugins manually. Next follow this link https://community.theme.co/kb/product-validation and validate your product.

    You can also duplicate your site and update theme and plugins in staging site first to make sure it doesn’t break your site.
