misspoppParticipantHi there,
For some reason the buttons on my webpage are not working – they are just displayed as text with no actual button or anything. I have tried making a new one but that still doesn’t work?
Many thanks!

RupokMemberHi there,
Thanks for writing back. It seems you are using very older version of X, Cornerstone and Visual Composer that why it’s not working as expected.
Can you confirm that you are fully updated? (Theme and Plugins)
You can find the latest version numbers here: (http://theme.co/changelog/) Then you can compare them to what’s installed on your site.
If you find anything to be out of date, you can review our update guide.

LelyModeratorHello There,
Upon checking both sites, I can see that the staging is using X buttons while the live site is using be-shortcode button. See attached screenshots of the code difference.
If you have caching plugin, please purge/delete cache. We might be seeing cache content on the live site.
Hope this helps.

misspoppParticipantHi Lely,
Thanks for your reply. I’m the most nontechnological person so bear with me, I changed the code in that Devtools on Chrome, it worked. But I don’t know how to save the changes? Or do I have to edit it elsewhere else?
Thanks

FriechModeratorHi There,
The Devtools is only for inspecting element, you can not edit anything in there. You need to login to your admin dashboard and edit the page there.
You wrote above:
they are just displayed as text with no actual button or anything
This sounds that you’re using a plugin to generate the button, but you deactivate it that is why it is not rendering as a button, instead its a shortcode/text.
But this buttons are working now though.
Would you mind to clarify the issue?
Thanks.
