Hello,
Do you know why some buttons need to be pressed twice before bringing the visitor to the target web page? Sometime the visitor needs only pressed once. There are times when I test my website on my mobile phone, I press the button and it changes color only. It does not bring me to the link right away. I have to press it again.
Also on my Home Page, the top-half has got buttons. Do they only start working AFTER the rest of the page has finished downloading? Sometimes a visitor may want to go straight to the link and does not wish to see the bottom of the Home page. But the buttons on the top-half of the page may not work until the user scrolls to the end of the page.
I have images on the bottom-half of the Home page. These images can only be seen (or downloaded) after a visitor scrolls to the bottom of the page. But a visitor may not wish to scroll down and wants to press the top buttons right away. However, the buttons sometimes don’t respond until all the images have been downloaded.
Is this a design default? If so, I may have to turn off the animations for my images. Currently I use “Enable Fade Effect” to animate 3 images at the bottom of the Home page.
Likewise the “Card” element – when are they supposed to flip over to the back? If the visitor does not scroll down to the bottom of the page, the cards do not flip as they ought to when you put your cursor there. Are the cards and buttons dependent on the completion of the download of the page?

Thanks for writing in.
Seems to be working fine on mobile. In the desktop, a flip animation has to be triggered by hovering on it but there is no hover functionality in mobile, you can’t hover your hand on top of it. Hence, the trigger on FLIP animation is the first tap. It’s intended that way, but we’ll be looking for better way to implement this.
And yes, please disable the column fade in option. It’s only accessible when the fade in is done, which means after the scroll. And it will only start the image download when it’s rendered.
Thanks!

Does what you said about the “fade” option apply also to “graphic animation” in a feature box?
Also, are you saying that buttons are not dependent on the completion of the animation of images? Thus one should be able to press a button and go to another web page without waiting for all the photos in the Home page to be downloaded?

They aren’t, the animation is only applicable for positioning but not connected to the functionality of what’s being animated. You could try a slider, it has a feature that will allow the slider initialization upon scroll-to-view. Yes, in some case, then will able to click it because the element is actually there, the fade in effect only affect the appearance but not the actual existence of the element.
Thanks!
March 24, 2017 at 1:37 am #1418680Oops, i’m lost. Your earlier reply last para says:
“And yes, please disable the column fade in option. It’s only accessible when the fade in is done, which means after the scroll. And it will only start the image download when it’s rendered.”
Are you saying buttons and “graphic animation” are different from “fade in” option?
But your last sentence in your last reply says:
“the fade in effect only affect the appearance but not the actual existence of the element”Pardon my ignorance of technical terms – don’t understand “connected to the functionality”…”existence of the element”.
Appreciate your patience, Rad.
March 24, 2017 at 3:30 pm #1419486Hi there,
There might be a confusion, I mean column’s fade in option is different from flip animation. Maybe we’re looking on different animation, would you mind providing a video recording? The flip animation applies to the card as a whole, not just for graphic/icon or button.
Your question is about pressing the button and animate without waiting for it to load the photos. Hence yes, you can press it or animate even if it’s still loading the photos since the element exists but just hidden by flip or fade effect. It’s there but you can’t just see, clickable with no relation to loading, unless the height is zero on pre-load.
Thanks!
March 27, 2017 at 11:09 am #1421827Not sure if I understand you correctly. I’ll take it that you mean buttons can be activated without waiting for the other photos to finish loading. So no need to disable the fade-in option.
March 27, 2017 at 11:41 am #1421872Hi There,
Although I am not 100% what you mean, I believe you are correct, and you can click on the button to go to another pages before the images are 100% downloaded.
Let us know if you have further questions,
Joao
