Hi there,
I checked both live and beta, they are just the same. I just provided the few and last URLs I checked. The color is exactly the same on my iPad and my Mac.
And the icons both work on live and beta too. Unless, you’re accessing non-secured URL as I mentioned, which you should contact your hosting provider to properly implement redirects from HTTP to HTTPS.
If you’re referring to color intensity, then yes there is a difference due to the color management of each device. You should calibrate your Mac’s color if you wish to match it on your iPad. The iPad has auto-adjustment.
Thanks.

What I mean is I checked both your main and beta site, but instead of providing all the URL that I checked I just provided the last URLs that I visit. You said that I should check the main site, so I had to explain why I provided the beta URL instead of main site’s URL. Please ignore it, just note that I checked both main and beta.
This is getting more confusing, how about providing a screenshot of where and how the icon should look like? You’re referring to “kategorije”,”zadnje objave” in the sidebar, and it doesn’t really have icon regardless of device. I checked the code and I think it’s intended not to have an icon. In fact, all your widgets don’t have icons in the title on all devices. I don’t see any screenshot that you provided showing how it was.
I just thought you’re accessing your site in non-secured URL format, that will, of course, will not display the icons (like footer social icons). And now you’re referring to those widget titles.
Thanks.
March 12, 2017 at 6:00 pm #1404069hi,
of course i can provide you with what i mean. please see the screenshots.
the icons are part of the integrity demo 1. they were there until we changed the address to https and moved the site to the main domain. maybe they are called from a http address and that changed too in the process? it look like it to me…
“zadnje objave” are “latest posts”, “kategorije” are “categories” in slovenian language.#člani” are “members”
i hope you understand now what i mean. sorry for the confusion.
the problem with the colors remains. So i was thinking to delete x, x-child and buddypress and install them again. would that fix things? of course that is not an option if i loose everything…do i?
regards.March 13, 2017 at 1:34 am #1404468Hi there,
About the color, I still don’t see any problem. It’s all the same in my view (Mac or Windows). Don’t base it in tablet and mobile devices colors, it’s only normal for them to have stronger colors. Your screenshots red color is the same as how I see it on my Mac and Windows. But yes, a bit stronger color in iOS and androids. Please note that screen has a different color, that’s why those devices aren’t good for designing. Even an IPS monitor have the different color rendering.
About the icons, thanks for the clarification. It’s an option that you can enable at Admin > Appearance > Customizer > Typography > Widget Icons. I toggled it on on your live site.
Please note that not all widgets has icon especially if they aren’t related to X theme.
Thanks!
March 13, 2017 at 3:24 am #1404542…
i turned off and option in customizer and didn’t know and then bothered you about it for 3 pages?!
good lord…sorry about that.what about the buddypress sidebar – where the widget “člani”(“members”) is off? and that happens for almost every other widget i put there…on beta.mojzastopnik.si it is fine, so i think migration caused it…
the colors i still don’t get. I am sending you two screenshots – one in chrome and one in safari, both on macbook air(it is the same in macbook pro). and that happend after changing site to https, i believe.
March 15, 2017 at 4:51 pm #1408653Hi there,
About buddypress widget, the float style behaves differently from live. Please add this CSS to Admin > Appearance > Customizer > Custom > CSS to permanently fix it.
.widget .item-avatar { min-height: 45px; clear:both; }
Thanks for the clarification about the colors, I thought you’re referring to icons from font awesome. I can replicate it oo on my Safari. I also downloaded your image and viewed it directly (no codes, just image) and yes the color is different. Hence, this issue is specific to Safari. Chrome, Firefox, and other browsers render the color the same. Try using different image format like JPEG, it might be an issue with PNG color profile when it’s edited with Photo editor and have the problem with Safari’s color interpretation.
I tried some workaround with no success.
Thanks!
March 20, 2017 at 8:43 pm #1414463Hi there,
thank you for your effort. Using jpegs instead of ong’s is not an option with the icons because i need them to be transparent for later…but when running a seo check on SEOSITECHECKUP.COM it gives me this error:
Deprecated HTML TagsWe found some HTML deprecated tags. You are advised to change these old tags with equivalent tags or proper CSS rules.
<font>: found 1 timeI don’t have a clue what i could have done to get this…but maybe it is causing the problem with colors? i don’t know, just guessing. Could you please take a look and advise me what to do to get rid of this?
thanks.March 20, 2017 at 9:09 pm #1414488i fixed it – it was in layer slider. and it didn’t break the colors 🙂
March 20, 2017 at 9:26 pm #1414508Happy to hear that.
Feel free to ask us again
