1. Looks like your site is hosted on WP Engine. I disabled the template responsible for activity page but there is no effect. I think it’s due to cache. Would you mind providing a login that admin capability? The above login only redirects me to membership area.
2. No, it’s only local to the visitor’s browser and logged in account. It will not affect other users.
Thanks!
June 16, 2016 at 10:55 pm #10464651- It’s not cache related. I’ve been on the phone with WP Engine to make sure it’s not a cache issue. The login credentials i provided are admin credentials for my staging site which is identical to live. the login credentials above are for sftp. I provided regular admin login credentials on the 1st page.
2- Can you please clarify. is it a or b below…
a – other users will see their selection from the individual activity feed sort on their sitewide activity feed
b – other users will see what I’ve selected
June 17, 2016 at 1:09 am #1046556Hi there,
1. Sorry for the confusion, the login I’m referring is the login for WordPress. It’s redirecting me to membership page, looks like it has no admin permission/capability. Please provide another login credentials that has admin capability.
2. It’s A.
Thanks!

Thanks, the login works now.
I checked and this one is really weird. I activate another theme (eg. 2016 theme) with the just same result. Hence, this is not an issue with the theme. Could be related to BuddyPress plugin itself. But I can’t really replicate this issue on my installation with same setup and version. All I could think is cache, this is my first time seeing something like this.
I’ll continue checking.
Thanks!
June 17, 2016 at 3:02 pm #1047476There is no server side caching in place on WP Engine staging sites… https://wpengine.com/support/staging/
Thank you for continuing to check. Anything you can do to help me fix this would be greatly appreciated.
June 17, 2016 at 8:16 pm #1047824Hi there,
I understand, but since, the FTP is pointing to live files and not on staging files, I can confirm that caching is enabled through wp-config.php. I’m not really sure how WPEngine set them up, I may not correct.
Until now, I can’t find what really causing this. Could you install a fresh WordPress on a subfolder (same hosting)? I doubt WPEngine will allow that. I’ll continue checking, still can’t reproduce this issue on my installs.
Thanks!
June 17, 2016 at 8:50 pm #1047865I’m being told by WP Engine that the wp-config.php caching does not overwrite the servers rule for not caching in staging.
The sFTP credentials previously supplied are for staging files only.
WP Engine will not allow me to install a fresh wordpress on a subfolder.
Again, thank you for continuing to check on this. Anything you can do to help me fix this would be greatly appreciated.

June 17, 2016 at 11:55 pm #1048043Hi there,
I see, then there is nothing I can do on the current setup. I installed All in one migration plugin to download a copy of your site. I’ll just install it on my local for testing.
Thanks!

June 23, 2016 at 7:29 pm #1057207Hi there,
I installed your copy on local with the same issue, which means, it’s specific to your site (eg. installed software and configurations )
I did fresh installed WordPress with just X, Cornerstone, and BuddyPress with imported content your site and it works. Which confirm my guess that it’s something to do with your existing site.
Thanks!
June 24, 2016 at 10:39 am #1058215Any idea which software and configurations could be causing this?
June 24, 2016 at 7:10 pm #1058669Hi there,
I’m not really sure as I already disabled all other plugins which have the same result. Have you tried it on a fresh installed WordPress on your site?
Thanks!
