Hi,

Before I do too much with X, I’d like to know if the following is possible:

Integrate ‘live’ notifications for Buddypress. By default BP requires a browser refresh to update notifications, which is too dated by today’s standards. The plugin available to enable live behaviour no longer works, and the author hasn’t updated it for 9-10 months. I have been beta testing a theme where this feature is included, and it’s also available with the Kleo theme. Can X be updated for this?

BP has quite a serious failing in the way it shows comments to updates, in that it never shows the original post, only the reply. Confusing. I use the plugin BuddyPress Activity Comment Notifier to get around this, would be great if that functionality could be added to X.

I’d like to do away with the WP Toolbar and include the logged-on user Avatar and a Notifications icon in the site header. I’d have a play with this today, any assistance in achieving that would be very much appreciated.

I have raised the above issues with both Buddypress support and opened tickets on Trac but the response is limited unfortunately, and requests never seem to be met with much enthusiasm.
