Hi,
We purchased the X theme due to its flexibility and we really enjoyed working with it and the amazing videos training and support. When we started to install and configure buddypress and bbpress we found that the the x theme layout for these plugins is very basic and not usable! instead of providing tabs for editing users profile options or the group page, the x just shows tables.
You know, we compared your theme with Dynamix before we do the purchase but Dynamix theme layout for buddypress and bbpress is much robust and usable. browse it at:http://themeforest.net/item/dynamix-business-corporate-wordpress-theme/full_screen_preview/113901 Click on buddypress then forum or groups to see their tabs and layouts
Is their a future plan to enhance the X theme buddypress/bbpress layout and styles? I believe it is a crucial for your sales if you plan to target the segment of social network websites.
Let us know any solution
Thanks
MohamedApril 24, 2015 at 11:19 am #257656I’m afraid this is a preference thing… cause from what I can see from the link you sent here, I’ll take the X implementation of Buddypress any day of the week over that.

April 24, 2015 at 2:32 pm #257782Hi Charlie,
Thanks a lot for your quick informative reply. Yes, I know it is preferences, what I mean is the out of the box features and style for buddypress that the x theme may do to make it more catchy than basic tables format. however if you can help us to reach the same styles like dynamix using X. Let me know your email to communicate or should we use this forum to share our thoughts with other x members about buddypress?Regards
MohamedApril 24, 2015 at 5:59 pm #257882Hi there,
Yes, it’s purely custom development. And as support, we can’t cover that customization. So you should find someone that could help you 🙂 like Charlie
Thanks!
April 24, 2015 at 11:19 pm #258056Hi,
I know about Web Development but I get used to asp.net, c#, and vb script. It seems I should read about php and programing wordpress.
Let me know what is the simplest resources I can use to start and get this customization done?Thanks

Group page is not a post or page, there is no way you can use above/below masthead sliders. Buddypress group is not existing page but it displays page ID, so not sure if is_page( 199 ) will work.
Adding this code at child theme’s functions.php for custom slider should work, if only it can be recognized as valid page.
//If you wish to put slider above masthead of group page add_action('x_before_view_global__slider-above', 'put_slider_on_buddypress_group_above_masthead'); function put_slider_on_buddypress_group_above_masthead () { if ( is_page( 199 ) ) putRevSlider( 'Alias of your slider here' ); } //If you wish to put slider below masthead of group page add_action('x_before_view_global__slider-below', 'put_slider_on_buddypress_group_below_masthead'); function put_slider_on_buddypress_group_below_masthead () { if ( is_page( 199 ) ) putRevSlider( 'Alias of your slider here' ); }
Just change
'Alias of your slider here'
with the alias of your created slider at Admin > Rev. Slider. This may not work as buddypress group page isn’t the same as normal pages where slider settings are available. If you wish to further enhance this, then you may contact a developer.Thanks!
July 12, 2015 at 8:20 am #327780Yes, thanks a lot it worked! also, for buddypress bp_is_page(‘groups’) is more usable and worked!
Now, second request: on the same page (which is http://www.internationalspeakersclub.com/groups) I need to use two sidebars (left and right) searched on template options for this page but did not find this option! How can we handle this specially for buddypress pages? how can we change or add more template?
Thanks
MohamedJuly 12, 2015 at 12:21 pm #327877Hi There,
Glad to hear that it worked however on your second request we could not give any support on that due to that it is beyond the scope of our support. It would be best to contact a a custom developer for that one.
You can check the link below for more information about Bbpress in x theme.

Let us know how it goes.
Thanks.
July 12, 2015 at 5:33 pm #328049Thanks for your informative reply. Great docs!
Could you help us to minimize the padding under the slider for the same page http://www.internationalspeakersclub.com/groups/

July 12, 2015 at 8:08 pm #328111Please add the code below in your Appearance > Customize > Custom > CSS.
body .x-header-landmark { padding: 2px 0px; }
If you have any additional questions at this time we kindly ask that you open them up in a separate thread. The longer threads get in the forum, they become more difficult to support as they tend to drift off topic and they also make it troublesome for users trying to search for solutions. Keeping threads relevant to their original inquiry ensures that we can keep better track of what has been resolved and that users can more effectively find answers to similar issues they might be experiencing.
Hope that helps. 🙂
Thanks!
