JeroenParticipantHi there,
I want to use the standard ethos lay-out for the blog, but i have two problems to handle. I would copy yours on http://theme.co/x/demo/ethos/1/.
1st: When I want to add the filterable index “menu” above the first post, the whole blog page doesn’t load anymore.
2nd: I want to have the “featured posts” between the other posts, like you have. How could I implement this feature?
I set up a test-page for the standard X-blog: https://www.zomerjobs.nl/blog-test/ (filterable content = off)
Thanks for your help.

Rue NelModeratorHello Jeroen,
Thanks for writing in! You almost have the same settings with our demo site. They thing missing is this:
1] When I want to add the filterable index “menu” above the first post, the whole blog page doesn’t load anymore.
When turning on the filterable index menu, you have to make sure that the category ID filter is empty (http://prntscr.com/atnz2u). Adding a category filter will only display post items from that category only or worst, no post items if there aren’t a post under that category.2] To implement the feature post feature, you need to edit your post and find the Ethos Post Settings section. You need to enable the “Index Featured Post Layout” which would make the featured image of this post fullwidth on the blog index page.

JeroenParticipantHi there,
thanks for your help. I solved the first issue. Where could i change the settings like you did? (After two posts you get one and four posts further again?). Now I have just one slider per page.
The second question isn’t solved. Everything is empty, but the page isn’t loading anymore (incredibly slow). I set the setting for filtered content “on”, on http://zomerjobs.nl/blog-test. Could you explain why it isn’t loading anymore?

LelyModeratorHi Jeroen,
Which settings are you referring to?
#2 Did you figure this out already? It is loading fine when I checked. See this video screencast:http://screencast-o-matic.com/watch/cDfqh01CJJ
Please do confirm.Always,

JeroenParticipantHi There,
Damn. You’re right. When I visit the page incognito it works like a charm.
Just one thing: Why am I seeing the “author” information below every post now? Never had that. Is there even a possibility to set an order (on date)? Now it is per category.
Even the beautiful “slider/carrousels” aren’t visible since I set “filterde content” on.Thanks a lot!

ChristopherModeratorHi there,
#1 Please provide us with screen shot, as I don’t see author information in your posts.
#2 Regretfully this isn’t a feature offered by X. It could be possible with custom development, but this would be outside the scope of support we can offer. You may wish to consult a developer to assist you with this. X is quite extensible with child themes, so there are plenty of possibilities.
#3 Post slider displays fine, but you need to enable post carousel from Customize -> Ethos.
Hope it helps.
