Hi guys,

I am having an issue with my blog posts not showing up on the homepage or in the carousel above the homepage, not sure if I am being silly but I cannot find a way to fix it! They are showing up in the recent posts sidebar list though…

Hi Tamara,

Please go to Appearance > Customize > Ethos > Blog Options then remove the Category IDs or set to the specific category IDs you want posts to be shown in the homepage.

As for the Post Carousel in the header, kindly set the options under Display to Random or you can set posts to Featured in post settings since the Post Carousel Display is current set as Featured.

That’s fab, thank you for your help!

Can I also ask about the filter by topic drop down menu on the homepage?
Right now there are no topics, I am assuming topics mean it doesn’t filter by category?

For example if I have the categories of countries I visit, e.g. Asia, Australia, Europe. How do I get them to be the topics?

Hi there,

Yes, it will be your posts filtered by category. Your categories are available or can be created at Admin > Post > Categories. Once your categories are created, then simply create or edit your post and assign a specific categories.

Then go to Admin > Appearance > Customizer > Ethos > BLOG OPTIONS > Category IDs and add your category IDs you wish to display on filter.
