Hello. I would like to set up a page on (www.kellybroylesphotography.com) where I can create a Blog in the menu and when they click it will go to my blog posts in chronological order. I had one set up with my old theme and thought it would just convert but it’s not. I have a “Blog” page under pages but it’s showing as a blank page. Please assist!

Thanks for writing in. You might need to export your blog posts from your previous theme first then setup your blog page using the X theme.
Regarding your Blog page though, I see that you haven’t added it onto your main menu yet and it’s understandable as it’s only a blank page as of now. That being said, would you kindly give us more details on how you setup your blog page and we’ll go from there, or if you are uncertain about the steps you can just give us the details of your website’s login so we can inspect further. To do this, you can make a post with the following info:
– Link to your site
– WordPress Admin username / password
– FTP credentialsKindly send us a reply with your login information (and tick the Set as private reply at the bottom).

This can be achieved by going into your dashboard settings area.Go to Settings -> Reading -> at the top of this page under front page displays select the option for “A static page (select below)” then make sure your front page is on the front page setting and then choose your blog page for the blog setting.
I hope this helps.
Please send us your login information and I can help you out but in the meantime you can try the above.
August 7, 2014 at 12:10 pm #79870So there is no way to have the blogs show on the front page but also have a blog page?
I haven’t been able to figure out how to set up the Home to look how I want and I like it how it is now.
August 7, 2014 at 12:43 pm #79909I am sorry I misunderstood. I found a solution online that is a bit roundabout but may get you to the desired result. It requires a third party plugin so we can not guarantee it will work flawlessly with X but it might be worth a try. If you want to go ahead with this solution I am happy to help out once you get the plugin installed.

1)Create a Blog page like you would any other page. Leave it blank
2)Download the Page Links To plugin.
3)In the Posts section of your dashboard, create a new Category called “Blog” or something like that
4)On the Blog page you created in step #2, go to the bottom where the Page Links To box is and select “A Custom URL”. Then type in “http://www.YOURDOMAIN.com/category/blog”. -
