Hi there,
So on one of our sites, it appears that Slider Revolution isn’t playing ball with our video. There is a very small split-second black flash that occurs right before the video begins to play.
We have gone through so many of the classes on the slider to change the CSS Background Colour to white but the flash is still there. Do you have any suggestions :)?
movingjourneys.co.uk – it’s the slider that is on the homepage

You need to setup a poster image to avoid that. You can either use a white image or the very first frame of your background video and it will give you also a good effect.
Please see img attached.
Hope it helps,
Joao
June 15, 2016 at 9:56 am #1043355Hi Joao,
Thanks for the help, however, I don’t think that’s the issue. Your screenshot shows that using the YouTube selector, however, we are using the HTML5 video source and we had already chosen a placeholder image that was white. I have now also gone back through and uploaded a bigger white image, both for the ‘YouTube’ image and for the HTML5 image, but sadly there is still the flash.
Many thanks
Steven
June 15, 2016 at 12:00 pm #1043570Hi There,
The only flash I can see at the moment before the images start is the same lighgrey flash I can see when visualizing your video: http://lookatyour.site/hwf/wp-content/uploads/2016/04/hwf-hands-movingjourneys.webm
I guess it stands more out because of the white background just.
Please let us know your toughts.
Also please clean your browser cache before checking it.
Thanks

June 15, 2016 at 4:09 pm #1043972Hi Joao,
So I went through and re-uploaded the MP4, WEBM and OGG Files without the slight grey flash, I cleared my cache and I’m still getting the black screen flash. Please see the attached video – I think it’s quite clear on there.
I’m using MacOS with Chrome
but I know we’ve also had reports of it on Safari too.

June 15, 2016 at 10:39 pm #1044502Hi there,
Is it the grey transition? It’s present from the video file itself. I don’t see any black flash from your provided video, just a greyish transtion.
Thanks!
June 16, 2016 at 1:15 pm #1045605It appears that despite me shortening the clips, somewhere along the way a video converter has added in the grey flashes – odd!
Thanks for the help
