I have seen some brilliant software that allows image to over lap and a line is dragged over teh top image to reveal the bottom image. here ios the website http://www.moyawren.co.uk/gallery.php?id=1

Do you think this can be integrated in anyway into cornerstone/xtheme.

I found on the forum this website running X and twentytwenty plugin

The twentytwenty wordpress plugin seems to work fine with X. You have go trought the documentation of the plugin and find out how it works, but I believe it works as a widget. So you can just use a widget Area or a Raw Content Element to activate it on Corner Stone.
