chrisloldsParticipantHow do you change the default font size and colors for bbpress and buddypress? I’ve tried downloading plugins to do this and tried some CSS from buddypress and bbpress forums but it doesn’t seem to work well.
Is there a css stylesheet somewhere that I can change all of these values? It’s so small and the font colors are so light that it’s nearly impossible to read.

JadeModeratorHi Chris,
We could use CSS to change the font settings of the page elements in BBPress and BuddyPress.
I have checked the pages you indicated and the texts seem to be quite readable.
Would you mind pointing out the specific section where the texts are too small so that we could check?
Hope this helps.

chrisloldsParticipantThe text is not readable to me, it is very difficult to see. Can you please point me in the direction of the custom template file in X that controls the CSS for the bbpress and buddypress? I’d like to completely change the font sizes and colors for all of buddypress and bbpress, I don’t like the font size or coloring as I can not read it at all.

LelyModeratorHi There,
We can add this custom CSS on Appearance > Customize > Custom > Edit Global CSS:
.buddypress .x-item-list-tabs-nav>ul>li>a, .buddypress .x-item-list-tabs-nav>ul>li>span { color: green; /*Link Color All Members text*/ } .buddypress #message, .bbp-template-notice{ color: green; /*Notice Color*/ } .buddypress .x-list-item-header p { color: red; } .buddypress .x-item-list-tabs-nav > ul > li > a:hover, .buddypress .x-item-list-tabs-nav > ul > li.current > a, .buddypress .x-item-list-tabs-nav > ul > li.selected > a, .buddypress .x-item-list-tabs-subnav > ul > li > a:hover, .buddypress .x-item-list-tabs-subnav > ul > li.current > a, .buddypress .x-list-item-meta-inner > a:hover, .buddypress .x-list-item-meta-inner > .generic-button > a:hover, .buddypress .x-list-item-meta-inner > .meta > a:hover, .buddypress .activity-list .activity-comments .ac-form a:hover{ color: red; /*Link hover color*/ } .buddypress .x-list-item-header .activity, .buddypress .x-list-item-header .time-since, .buddypress .x-list-item-meta-inner > a, .buddypress .x-list-item-meta-inner > .generic-button > a, .buddypress .x-list-item-meta-inner > .meta, .buddypress .x-list-item-meta-inner > .meta > a, .buddypress .activity-list .activity-comments .ac-form a, .buddypress .activity-list .x-activity-comments-inner > ul .acomment-options > a:after { color: cadetblue; /*Link default color*/ } .buddypress { color: blueviolet; /*default for other text*/ }Feel free to update each font color.
Hope this helps.

chrisloldsParticipantHow about the font size and font itself? Is there a template file for the buddypress and bbpress changes made by X?

LelyModeratorHello There,
It’s not recommended to edit those files. The best way is to override those settings.
See this screencast on how to check which selector is active for a certain element:http://screencast-o-matic.com/watch/cbeVYa6ZEgFor font size and font family, we can update above CSS to this:
.buddypress .x-item-list-tabs-nav>ul>li>a, .buddypress .x-item-list-tabs-nav>ul>li>span { color: green; /*Link Color All Members text*/ font-size: 30px; font-family: "Open Sans",sans-serif; }We can add font size and font family to each selector and then just update those values.
Hope this helps. -
