MattHollParticipantHello.
For the Band expanded demo, at the top of the screen there is a video that automatically plays in the background when the page is loaded.
I have tried to replace that video with my own that is uploaded to YouTube and it doesn’t load. A background image loads instead.
How does one go about getting a video to auto load and auto play and loop inside of that existing section in the Band expanded demo? This is the behaviour I see for the existing video. I just can’t get it to work with my own video.
Any help is appreciated.
Thanks!

ChristianModeratorHey Matt,
Please use a direct to video URL like
http://example.com/video.mp4. It will not work for Youtube videos and will also not load on a mobile device for performance reasons.Thanks.

MattHollParticipantHello.
I already tried that. I loaded it to my site using FTP then linked to that. It’s a .MOV file, though. Is that file format not supported?
Thanks for the help.

MattHollParticipantI converted to MP4 and uploaded to my site and linked to that and it still doesn’t work.
The site is here. The video should be playing in that area that says Eclipses that instead just shows the background image for the page.

ChristopherModeratorHi there,
Your video file doesn’t show, see : http://www.hrvatskohomebrewprvenstvo.beer//videos/shutterstock_v267226.mp4
Seems like it’s corrupted.Thanks.

MattHollParticipantI see one extra / in that address. Removed that but it still won’t play.
Does the MP4 need to be set up in some specific way? Do other file formats work? The file plays fine on my Desktop computer.
Thanks for the help.

ChristianModeratorYour video doesn’t play in the browser. Though it’s mp4, it might lack some codec or something. Please hire a video editor or reformat your video using video conversion software and try again.
Thanks.

MattHollParticipantI converted it again with Handbrake using x264 and that did the trick. Thanks.
