    I see the bg pattern do a fade as the page loads sometimes but I am unable to set any Background Image in the Customizer.

    I have the Navbar on the left with a sidebar on the right of the content. I’ve tried resetting the image and it just never works. Please help. My page is here: http://fzbtx.com

    Thanks,

    Hi There,

    Thanks for writing in! Add this on your custom CSS on Customizer to see that background behind.

    body .site,
    body .x-container.main:before {
    	background-color: transparent;
    }

    But! You need to optimize your background-image (http://fzbtx.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/07/DSC_0763.jpg), that image is 13.8mb. That size slows the loading of your page.

    Cheers!

    Hi there,

    Seems like the background image is under Page settings box. Please remove the image and then try to add background under Customize -> Layout and design.

    Hope it helps.

    Thank you Friech that worked to show the background image. I optimized the image down also. Thx!

    It is set in the Customizer, not in Page settings.

    However I am now wanting to put a tint or semi-transparent color layer to the page content background, so that the words have a slight background tint so they are more legible against the background image. Is this possible with this theme?

    Cheers,

    Hi There,

    What color you want it to be? You can use the very code given above, obviously not a transparent value.

    e.g.

    body .site, body .x-container.main:before {
        background-color: rgba(0, 161, 255, 0.25);
    }

    You can have the rgba color code here: http://www.december.com/html/spec/colorrgbadec.html

    Keep in mind that the last value (0.25) is the alpha/transparency. 0 is transparent and 1 is opaque.

    Thanks.
