Boat RadioParticipantHello,
I would like to include a ‘play’ button on a page within my website. I want the button to switch on a live radio audio stream.
Radio.co – the audio streaming service – provides three alternative URLs for the live stream:http://streaming.radio.co/s6e4df77ce/low
http://streaming.radio.co/s6e4df77ce/listen
http://public.radio.co/stations/s6e4df77ce/m3uWhat is the simplest way to create a ‘play’ button at the top right hand corner of my page. I do not want to embed an audio player from Radio.co, nor do I want any volume controls or track information. I just want a simple ‘play’ button for visitors to click on.
Thanks in advance for your help.

Rue NelModeratorHello Mike,
Thanks for writing in! Simply create a player and use the generated code to be embedded in your site. Please check this out: http://help.radio.co/knowledge_base/topics/create-a-player?from_search=true
Hope this helps.

Boat RadioParticipantThanks for gwtting back to me. Actually, I’ve already tried using Radio.co’s code within X Theme’s ’embedded player’ feature.
But it doesn’t work. The resulting player cannot be positioned correctly on the page. It appears at the bottom left of the page, below the social sharing array, and cannot be moved.
To ne honest, what I really want is to place a floating play button top right – one that remains top right as visitors scroll down the page.
Is there a way for me to do this?
By thw way – X Theme is awesome.
Cheers

Boat RadioParticipantI should have mentioned – I want my play button to float at the top right of the page, over the top of both an HD video loop and a high res slide show.
Tricky!

Rue NelModeratorHello There,
Thanks for updating in! The embedded player code may have an option where you can position it. If you would be kind to share the code so that we can look at it. Maybe we can change some values in the code to reposition it on the page. Please be advised that custom development such as creating a play button to float at the top right of the page which would play upon clicking on the button is beyond the scope of our support. Our support only covers getting setup, theme features, and bug fixes. We cannot provide support for third party plugins or scripts such as an embedded radio player due to the fact that there is simply no way to account for all of the potential variables at play when using 3rd party plugin or script. Because of this, any questions you have regarding setup, integration, or troubleshooting any piece of functionality that is not native to X will need to be directed to the original developer.
Thank you for your understanding.

Boat RadioParticipantThanks so much for your help and advice. I will contact the provider of the URL and the embed code to find out if they can help me with positioning and alignment.
Best wishes,
