GCParticipantHi – I am trying to get the audio on a video file to come through and be heard when it plays on a main home page top slider.
I have gone through the Themeco forum and found this post: #141028 – copy below.
The Themeco guy Rad talks about setting the ambient code from true to false via editing the .php code.
My problem is: where do I need to go exactly to find the .php code for both the ‘above’ and the ‘below’ sliders?
Once I can locate these I can then try out the suggestion.
Note that I am already on a child theme template – Integrity.
Many thanks
Gary

Hi Kelvin,
Thanks for posting in.
Because this requires a template change, I’d advise that you setup a child theme. This allows you to make code changes that won’t be overwritten when an X update is released. After your child theme is setup, please review how we recommend making template changes in Customization Best Practices.
1. Copy _slider-revolution-above.php and _slider-revolution-below.php from ▸ wp-content ▸ themes ▸ x ▸ framework ▸ views ▸ global to your child theme (eg. ▸ wp-content ▸ themes ▸ x-child-{STACK} ▸ framework ▸ views ▸ global)
2. Edit your child theme’s _slider-revolution-above.php and _slider-revolution-below.php and find this code :
{ ambient : true }
Just set it to false 🙂
3. Save and upload.

GCParticipantHey, you can now ignore this post please – I’ve found the answer. Since a recent Sr update, one can now select whether to have audio play or not directly through the individual slider settings, including the main background video/audio – it is now a simple switch on or off!
