    Hello,

We built our site, https://www.webzio.com/, just before you came out with Cornerstone, so it was built using your version of the Visual Composer.

    Some questions:
Are you still actively supporting Visual Composer? (I hope so.) If yes, are you planning on supporting it indefinitely? (I sure hope so.)

I understand that your version of Visual Composer is modified. If we wanted to switch to the Official Visual Composer, can we? Or will we have to redo our site?

Basically, our site is highly customized and it took 3-4 weeks of full-time developement to build it. We do not want to have to rebuild the site for another 2 years, and we are planning on making significant additions to the site in the next 1-2 months.

    Thank you!

Also, if we want to switch to the Official Visual Composer, is there a tool that would automatically do that for us? Rename classes, IDs, etc.? That is, if it’s necessary. I think you guys prefix all of your classes and IDs with x-

    Thanks,

    Hi Holden,

Thanks for writing in! Yes we still support Visual Composer although we always recommend to sue Cornerstone as it’s managed by Themeco. If you are using Visual Composer to build you page, it’s recommended to use teh compatible version that we packaged with X. If you have separate license for that you can try the official version but it might arise issues as it’s not tested. I’d suggest you to wait a few days while we package the latest version.

    Cheers!

Thank you. I’ll wait for the latest version.

I think you missed a couple of my questions:

    1) Will you continue to support Visual Composer indefinitely?

    2) Will your theme and our css work with the official Visual Composer? Meaning, will our website look the same as it does now if we install the official Visual Composer on our site? Or will it look all messed up?

=> If it won’t work, is there a tool to convert x-based css to standard visual composer css?

    Thanks,

    Holden

    Hi there,

    1. Yes, but the support only covers the elements that come with it before cornerstone. New elements or features could be or maybe available for cornerstone only.

    2. It should work unless the latest/official visual composer did something different, like changes in structure. It’s unavoidable. But if there is no drastic change, then it should be okay.

There is no tool, and X’s CSS is for X only. Those styling are only available of X theme is active.

    Thanks!
