    Im trying to understand if portfolio items are ultimately just posts? For example, if i switched themes would my ‘portfolio items’ all be lost or would wordpress just recognize them as ‘posts’

    Hi there,

    Thanks for writing in! It’s actually Custom Post Type and registered with X only. So if you move to another theme then it won’t be available.
