    Hi there,

I originally had a “web designer” building my site on X.
    They were terrible.
    I took it over myself.

While they had the site – they created a “custom.css” file in the child theme folder.
Now, when I go to enter custom css using the X user interface (Appearance > Customize > Custom > Edit Global CSS), I sometimes have conflicts with code the developer put in the custom.css file in the child theme folder.

    My question:
How can I combine the two, so that I don’t have custom CSS in two different places?

Can I simply copy the code from the original developer’s “custom.css” file in the child theme folder, and paste it into the X user interface (Appearance > Customize > Custom > Edit Global CSS)?

    Thanks!

    Hello There,

    Thanks for writing in!

We recommend you to manually remove redundant conflicting CSS codes. That being said you can move CSS codes from Child Theme to Customize.

    Thanks.
