Hi,
I was updating the theme. The backend is still online but in the frontend only this was displayed:

Fatal error: Call to undefined function x_get_font_family_query() in /data/www/b3/932/html/allcodesarebeautiful.com/wp-content/themes/x-child-renew/functions.php on line 359

I tried to update again and now there is in the front end just the white screen. What should I do?

Hi There,

This could have been caused because of partial theme update (something might have caused in the middle of automatic update). Could you please try updating your theme manually as mentioned here on our guide (https://theme.co/x/member/kb/updating-your-theme-and-plugins/).

If you do not manage to fix it, please send us your FTP Credentials in a private reply.

I did this but still white screen of death.

Where should this function x_get_font_family_query() be, in which file?

Hey Anja,

So we know this is an issue with X, please delete all the custom functions in your functions.php first as this looks like the error is coming there. Please login to your FTP and navigate to wp-content/themes/x-child-renew/ and edit functions.php. Remove all custom code you’ve added. If your site is restored, you’ll know that a custom code has caused the white screen. In that case, please seek help from a web developer to review your custom code.

Based on the error message, the issue is caused by the x_get_font_family_query function. x_get_font_family_query is not a function available out of the box in X.
