    I just changed the domain name for my site, leaving everything else the same. I’ve tried to reassign the X license to the new domain, but after I type it in, hitting enter doesn’t do anything. None of the X theme or associated plugins will update now. However, they were having issues before I changed my domain name, leaving an error “Update package not available.” Cornerstone, specifically, was having an issue both updating and getting stuck in the whirling edit page (the About page is one that I can’t edit because of it).

    I’d love your help if you can give it!

    Hello There,

    Thanks for writing in! Please try to revalidate your license. Please login to your account and revoke the license. You may need to re assign it again to your domain and try if the updates is available again.

    Hope this helps.

    I have revoked the license already. When I try to reassign it to the new domain, I type in the domain but hitting enter doesn’t do anything. The cursor just keeps blinking. I’ve tried it several times, logging out and then back in but nothing seems to help.

    By switching to the chrome browser I was able to assign the site, but I still can’t update the theme or plugins. I’m still getting the error “update package not available.”

    Under the theme update, it says that I need to validate X to enable automatic updates, but I’ve done that already and don’t see any other way to validate other than getting my code and assigning the domain.

    Hello Anthea,

    I have investigated your site. It seems that you are now running X 4.4.1 and Cornerstone 1.2.2. To be able to update X theme, please go to Dashboard > Updates. And if ever you encounter this message “An error occurred while updating X: Update package not available.”, it could possibly mean that the license has been revoke or the url does not match. You must use the domain.com or the same url found in your settings, Settings > General > Site Address. If you have successfully revalidate, you should be able to update X with no error message.

    Please let us know how it goes.

    I’ve checked the domain and it is the same in all places. Not sure why there should be a problem.

    I revalidated, but the theme update is still saying it isn’t validated. Everything looks right on my end, but I’m not a tech wizard by any stretch of the imagination!

    Hello Again,

    Using my test license, I revoke the validation in your site and revalidated it using my test license. I have successfully validated it. I went to your Dashboard > Updates and I was able to update both the X theme and plugins with no issues at all. Here’s what you need to do;

    1] Please go to X Addons > Home and revoke the validation.
    2] Please login to your account and revoke the license.
    3] After you have revoke the license, you need to re assign the license again to your site using this url: https://www.your-domain.com/. You have to make sure that url you just assign is the same as the one you have in your settings, Settings > General > Site Address
    4] Go back to X Addons > Home again, and insert the license again.

    Hope this would help you.
