Hello,
I have a problem I’d like a little bit your help with. We have made some modifications directly in the parent theme without installing the child theme first.
Would you please give us a blueprint/steps to take to move all the custom code to the child theme so we won’t lose those modifications when updating the parent theme. I’ve red all the topics related to this problem and tried several approaches without any luck, so probably I need a custom solution to solve it.
Thanks in advance! 🙂

We’re sorry but there is currently no feature to detect modified templates in X. Are you aware of the customization best practices here https://community.theme.co/kb/customization-best-practices/? If so, you can copy the
/framework
folder including everything in it to your child theme. You can deleted unmodified templates there later. Remember to backup your site every-time you make a step. Also, save or export a copy of Customizer Settings which you can do in WP Admin > Addons (see attachment).Thanks.
