    What do I put into the “Additional Parameters” field in Essential Grid to limit the results to a single Woocommerce category? I’ve tried variations of this but it doesn’t work: taxonomy=product_cat&tag_ID=35&post_type=product

    Hi there,

    Thanks for writing in.

    You don’t need to. For product post type, you just have to select Product in Source > Post Types at your EG’s setting. Then choose your category within Post Categories under the group Product Categories

    Cheers!

    I did have the category selected! I also have several custom taxonomies that apply across several categories so when they are selected to be able to use as filters then I see multiple categories on the grid results.

    I need a way to limit to one category and still use the taxonomies to filter. I thought this is what the “Additional Parameters” field is for.

    Please help find a solution.

    I’ve already followed those instructions and searched their site for an answer.

    What do I put into the “Additional Parameters” field in Essential Grid to limit the results to a single Woocommerce category?

    What you need requires advanced WP Query which is not possible through the Additional Parameters. That would require custom development which is outside the scope of our support. You might want to contact our trusted partners who caters X setup and customization needs. Please see https://community.theme.co/custom-development/

    Thanks.

    Hmm, ok. I did ask this question on the comment page for Essential Grid on Codecanyon and I just received this response:

    Yes limiting an Essential Grid to one category is possible out of the box for any post type, including WooCommerce posts. Due to our exclusive agreement with CodeCanyon, we’re only allowed to provide support to those who qualify, but if you purchase a license from us directly we could help you further with this in our support center

    https://codecanyon.net/item/essential-grid-wordpress-plugin/7563340/comments?page=258&filter=all#comment_15468378

    I’d really like to know how to do this but it feels unfair and unnecessary to have to pay $26 for the answer. If you are able to get support from Essential Grid I’d appreciate if you could get this answered for me.

    Hello There,

    You can insert the additional parameters in the Source tab. Please check this out: http://prntscr.com/e21ruf

    For more details about the additional category parameters, please check out the codex:

    Hope this helps.

    What do I put into the “Additional Parameters” field in Essential Grid to limit the results to a single Woocommerce category? Based on your screenshot and WP page I’ve tried variations of this but it doesn’t work:
    product_cat={wrist-malas}
    cat={wrist-malas}
    tag_ID={35}
    taxonomy=product_cat&tag_ID=35&post_type=product

    Hello There,

    Thanks for updating in! You might not need any additional parameters. Please select the post type and the product category as shown in this screenshot:
