lilokwanParticipantHi guys! I was wondering, some blogs I’ve seen have this pretty cool label that says “new post” on a corner or wherever on the featured image. Some also add that label according to categories, so if you post an entry on “food” as the category, then you see a “food” label over the featured image on the “recent posts”. I understand I have to design those labels, my question is, is there a way to set the site so that it adds those labels automatically over the featured image of a post?
Thanks guys!

NicoModeratorHi There,
Thanks for writing in! Regretfully, at this time I am not entirely certain what it is you would like to accomplish based on the information given in your post. If you wouldn’t mind providing us with a little more clarification on what it is you’re wanting to do (a link to a similar example site would be very helpful, or perhaps some screenshots), we’ll be happy to provide you with a response once we have a better understanding of the situation.
Thanks.

lilokwanParticipantsure! thanks!
check out http://kriscarr.com/, if you scroll down a little you’ll see a post called “How to Stop Forcing and Start Having Faith” (among others of course) if you see the featured image, it has a label on the upper right-side corner that reads “new post”, and also a smaller label on the lower left-side corner that says “soul”, I guess that is her category. now, I guess these labels are not a part of the picture (I saw the site on a mobile and if you rotate your device the label adapts to the new size of the image), so I know I would have to design the labels, but is there a way that by selecting a category for my posts, the right label gets attached to the featured image? same goes for the “new post”, is there a way to add a predesigned “new post” label to the last entry posted? thanks a lot!

ChristianModeratorI see. Regretfully this isn’t a feature offered by X. It could be possible with custom development, but this would be outside the scope of support we can offer. You might want to contact our trusted partners who caters X setup and customization needs. Please see https://community.theme.co/custom-development/. X is quite extensible with child themes, so there are plenty of possibilities. Thanks for understanding. Take care!

lilokwanParticipantI understand, thanks! one further question, when you open a tab on a web browser you have a logo on the tab itself, for the X theme is an X, for facebook the clasic F, mine is like a chart or something, can that be changed?

JadeModeratorHi there,
That is the favicon of the site.
You can set it in Appearance > Customize > Site Icons > Favicon.
Hope this helps.
