Hi there,
I am wondering if you could help me. For a while I have been using Visual Composer, and now just getting used to Cornerstone.
My issue is I’m a bit lost how to add images that are linked to ‘media’.
For example, in Visual Composer if you added an image, you had the option of saying the image could be linked to ‘media’ or to ‘none’. This meant plugins I was using, such as fullscreen galleria, knew which images were to open up in lightbox mode, and those which were not. However, when adding an image through the ‘Image’ element function in Cornerstone, there is no way to select a link to ‘media’ or ‘none’. Perhaps the terminology has changed for this.
How can I do this now I am working with Cornerstone? Am I missing something?
December 11, 2015 at 3:19 pm #703270Hi Jayd,
Thanks for posting in.
It’s manually done in cornerstone, please check this video on firefox browser 🙂
And the link where I got the lightbox shortcode http://theme.co/x/demo/integrity/1/shortcodes/responsive-lightbox/
Cheers!
December 14, 2015 at 4:09 am #705694Hi there,
I have followed the instructions, and it has not worked. When I have tried to open the page again in Cornerstone, it is saying there is a unidenfyable problem with the live preview.
To be honest, this amount of coding is insane. I am not sure why the functionality in the media library has been removed so that I cannot select ‘media’ when all other themes I have used have kept this functionality. X Theme also had this option within Visual Composer. Is there any reason why it is now gone?
I am concerned that if I were to use this theme again with a website that had MANY images, that this would take hours and hours to code, instead of just selecting ‘media’ on every image as it was before.
Is there a chance that this functionality will come back?
December 14, 2015 at 4:11 am #705696Oh wow – now I cannot change the page as it will not open in Cornerstone. What am I meant to do?
I can’t even go into ‘text’ edit on the page itself to see where the error is, or correct it when you have identified what the problem is.
Where do I go from here?
December 14, 2015 at 4:11 am #705697This is the code I can see in the text editor, but it says the changes will not be reflected in Cornerstone.

Thanks for providing the credentials, can you please specify the page URL where you’re having this issue? I checked your homepage and it seems to be working fine.
Thanks!
December 15, 2015 at 4:57 am #707312Hi there,
Many thanks for the reply. It isnt the homepage, it is the menu page.
There is a large menu that I need to become full size when clicked on.http://www.simplysignspreview.com/cool-pizza/menu/
As mentioned before I am also concerned that I have to do an insane amount of coding, because the functionality of adding ‘media/link/none’ is gone from the media library when inserting an image. Will this function be brought back? I can’t believe I will have to go through this lengthy coding for every single image that I add!
When will this be fixed?
December 15, 2015 at 9:07 am #707580Hi there,
Thanks for writing back. It seems you have edited the page with Default/Text editor – http://prntscr.com/9eh01s
Note that Cornerstone pages can’t be edited with another editor as it works a bit differently. Cornerstone pages are stored as serialized data, in the post meta table. So if you edit the content then that might break. However your page is corrupted now and can’t be edited with Cornerstone anymore. You need to rebuild the page and you can follow the screencast attached on earlier reply.
Cheera!
December 16, 2015 at 3:28 am #708756Hi there,
Sorry for the confusion, but I do not think you understand what happened originally.
I followed the instructions in Cornerstone, via the screencast.
The page then broke – I had only edited it in Cornerstone.
If the page breaks, our only option is to rebuild it?I can rebuild it, but not very happy about this.
If a page ever breaks again, let’s say I had put a lot of work into it.
It cannot be recovered? Because the only reason I mentioned the text editor was with the possibility of recovering it – I didnt go ahead and actually do this.ps – please answer my question about the media/link functionality being added back in. I have asked 3 times. I am worried that if I have pages that have a lot of images, then this amount of coding is INCREDIBLY time consuming.
December 16, 2015 at 4:02 am #708793Hi Jayd,
You can turn ON or OFF the image link of your image element.
If turned ON you can manually add the link in href field.
http://screencast.com/t/1ydA0zLHZ467
I check the page again and cornerstone seems to be working.
You need to click on cornerstone tab > edit cornerstone and re-save your page.

With regards to recovering, you can try this third party plugin to backup your site.
https://wordpress.org/plugins/duplicator/
Hope that helps.
