Hey all. I am trying to add a weather widget to the top bar area. I am also looking to add my logo and align it to the left in the header. I added it before and it was in the middle. No matter what adjustments were made in the customizer settings it just stayed in the middle. I installed a child theme but I dont know much beyond that and I dont want to break anything. Any help is appreciated.

Hi there,

I’m sorry but you can’t add widget to topbar, please try header or footer widget areas.
In regards with logo, please navigate to Customize -> Header and select inline layout.

I have a friend with a site and the weather is displayed in the top bar at the top of her site,

Also when I use inline layout it moves the text and menus out of sync and it all looks really bad. I want my logoa above the menu and below the top bar but to the left.

here it is inline. The menu is pushed to the right in no man’s land, I want the menu under the logo.

If your friend uses X theme, please ask her how she has achieved this and let us know if you need help.

ok so I’ve spent about a day going through posts and I have seen themeco folks advising the addition of topbar modification to the child theme. They also showed how to put shortcode in so I am good on that.

I used the css above. The logo is to the left but the menu is still inline with it on the right and I want it below the logo because I want to put an add widget to the right in line with my logo in the future.

Basically I want it stacked with the ability to push the logo left. This seems super simple but you’re saying its not possible?

I tried to send a screnshot but it was too big.

Sorry for the confusion, I didn’t say it’s impossible. The provided code keeps logo on left. You just need to change layout to Stacked to display logo on top of menu.

This particular customization request is outside the scope of our support as this is not related to an issue with the theme and instead has to do with your customization of it. As such, you will need to investigate this particular issue on your own or seek help from a developer should you not feel comfortable making these changes yourself. If you have any further questions about the theme, we are more than happy to provide you with assistance on these inquiries.
