Hi Themeco Support,
I am using the revolution slider 5 and I’m desperately trying to get the animation actions going. I am trying to use the “mover enter” and “mouse leave” actions to get a layer to “fade in” or “fade out” on hover. Animations are set, actions are set, seems all logic, but it just doesn’t do it. I watched some tutorials and I can’t figure out what I am doing wrong. I am not a coder.
I’ve read some threads here in the forum where the solutions always seemed to be adding specific CSS. So I wonder, why it won’t work and if thats the only way to get that thing going?
Please help. Thank you in advance.
Kind regards,
SvenI was using Google Chrome as a browser.

Please add link to background image or layers if you want the hover state to work.
Thanks.
February 7, 2017 at 10:03 am #1361326Hi Christopher,
I’m sorry, but I dont understand. What do you mean “add link…”? What is it, I am not seeing here?
Lets take the slider “Moji_1”. There I have a background image and another text layer on top. I want the text to fade in when the mouse moves into the layer and fade out etc…
Please help. Thanks.
Sven
February 7, 2017 at 10:08 am #1361339Do you mean to ACTIVATE “LINK” in the section above? I tried that, but no change. Please see the screenshots to see my settings.
Thanks
February 8, 2017 at 12:07 am #1362351Hello Sven,
I did download you slider to check the settings. Now to achieve what you want please follow this:
1.) Go to Link & Seo Tab > Enable Link: Choose Disable
2.) To Fade the text on hover, select the text layer.
3.) Click the arrow down on the right part of Style Tab
4.) Choose Hover Tab > Enable Layer Hover. You can see that Idle state is active. That is how your text layer will show.
5.) Now, click Hover state on the right of IDLE button
6.) Set Opacity to 0 or .1 depending on how you want it.Now, when you hover on text it will fade on the level of opacity you have set. Please also check their documentation for guidance here:https://www.themepunch.com/revslider-doc/layer-styles-positioning/#background-advanced. On #2 choose hover tab
Hope this helps.
February 8, 2017 at 7:09 am #1362718Thank you. That works too, without using the action function.
Have a great day,
SvenFebruary 8, 2017 at 8:57 am #1362865Glad to hear it!
Feel free to ask us again.
Thanks for choosing the X-theme.
